ceeme didn't start as a startup dream. It started with the question every freelancer knows. I traded my job as a marketing manager for entrepreneurship — on my business advisor's advice not as a one-woman company, but with my web design brand ThinkRebel inside the existing DB Events. That gave structure, but it only raised the pressure: now I had to prove it worked. And so I immediately hit the real challenge: how do I find customers?
So I did what a marketer does — I researched how people search today. And what I found changed everything: more and more people no longer search for businesses, they ask an AI. "Who's the best carpenter near me?" And whoever isn't in that answer simply doesn't exist. There is no second page anymore, no eleventh place. You're in the answer, or you're invisible.
Then I wanted to check where my own business stood. Impossible. Every tool I found was English-only, cost dozens of euros per month and was built for big brands with marketing teams. For the baker, the lawyer, the bike shop — for the Belgian SME — nothing existed. So I built it myself.
During the months of research and building, I regularly asked AI assistants who measures AI visibility in Belgium. Only when ceeme was nearly finished did I discover — through a forwarded press release — that a Belgian player already existed, having just raised half a million euros. In no AI answer I ever received had that name come up. A company that sells AI visibility and that I couldn't find through AI: there is no stronger proof that this problem is real. Had I come across them earlier, ceeme might never have existed. Today I'm glad I didn't — and we publish the comparison ourselves, including the points where they are stronger.
Honesty, always. Our measurement method is public. Our reports also state what we could not measure — a score you can't verify is not a score. We don't promise rankings, don't show logos of clients that don't exist, and don't publish numbers we can't back up. In a young market full of big promises, that's not a detail; it's the whole point.
Built for the SME. No account, no credit card, no mandatory sales call: the first scan is free and ready in minutes. Everything in Dutch, French and English. And we don't just measure — we deliver the fixes, because a diagnosis without treatment helps no one.
